How to Build Muscle Quickly

There are many ways to hasten your muscle building however the speed of your growth will depend on your desire and efficiency of your weight training program. There are people that we consider hard gainers and then there are those that seem to be able to build muscle very quickly. Regardless of your genetic makeup there are thing you can do to increase your muscle mass and help you to build muscle quickly. It’s important to include good quality protein by eating a high quality diet. Using free weights versus using machines, and making sure that you get the right amount of rest before you workout the same body part again.
Below is a list of five things that must be included if you are to reach your muscle building goals.

1. Nutrition
You must eat high quality meals in small amounts. 5 to 6 smaller meals eaten throughout the day would be ideal. A good balance of fat, carbohydrates and protein should be present in each meal. This is crucial for you to be able to effectively fuel your workouts and maintain the right insulin and blood glucose levels. Your protein intake should equal one gram of protein per one pound of lean muscle mass. Since your body can only consume about 25 to 35 grams of protein at any one time it is important to limit your protein intake to these amounts. Any more than that will just be wasted.
2.Protein Shakes
Adding a high quality protein supplement with the correct amount of amino acids that can easily be assimilated is an effective way to get the correct amount of protein. if you are eating lots of fish and chicken this doesn’t insure that you are getting the correct amount of the right amino acids necessary for muscle growth. You must increase the amount of fruits and vegetables that you eat everyday. Vegetables contain amino acids and are in an easily assimilated form.
3. Free Weights
Weight training using free weights is a perfect way to build muscle quickly. The size and strength of your muscles is directly related to the stress you put on your muscles. As you increase the amount of weight you use for each exercise you are training your body to respond by making your muscles stronger and bigger to compensate for the added load. Free weights will also workout a larger portion of your musculature by placing stress on the smaller stabilizing muscles used to balance the weight that is being lifted.
4. Weight Training Without Using Weights
Working out without weights and using just your body weight for resistance is a great addition to your workout. You are using many of the smaller stabilizing muscles to help with each specific exercise. You can do pull-ups, push ups and leg raises to help jump start your muscular growth. Don’t neglect these exercises if you want improvement in your endurance, strength and definition.
5. Lots of Rest
It is important to know that your muscles don’t get bigger when you are lifting. Our muscles only get bigger when we’re resting. Along with rest be sure to avoid training too much. Weight lifting breaks down our muscles at the cellular level and in order to repair and grow larger these cells must have adequate rest and the proper nutrition. You must remember this one thing.
Building muscles quickly is a distinct possibility if you are willing to take these factors into serious consideration and implement them in your weight lifting program.
